How does Invisalign® work?
The aligners are manufactured so that teeth will typically move in small increments, so when you put a new aligner in, the teeth in the tray itself are slightly straighter than your teeth are. This puts pressure on your teeth, so that over the course of the week, your teeth will move to match the aligner.
As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will continue to move — little by little, week by week — until they have straightened to their final positions. You’ll need to visit us about once every 6-10 weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing as planned.
